WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY HEADSHOTS?
Whatever you choose to wear should be comfortable and it should make you feel fabulous! It's worth putting as much effort into this as you can, so why not look at purchasing or hiring something for your session? Think about what will resonate with your target clients too. HOW MUCH DOES A HEADSHOT SESSION COST?
Individual headshot sessions at my home studio space in Loughborough start at £250. This includes your session and 3 retouched digital images, supplied as both high resolution and web resolution files. Additional images may be purchased. Professional hair and make up styling is an optional add on from £100.
I FEEL AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AND DON'T THINK I'M PHOTOGENIC
Firstly, you're not alone - many people feel this way. I make it a priority to help you relax and feel at ease - it really shows in the final images. I won't rush you, I'll coach and encourage you throughout so that we create some fabulous images that you love. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
If you're ready to go with your outfits, we can accommodate you within 1-2 weeks. If you're not sure about how you want to come across, we can allow more time to get things ready so that your shoot is a success. If you're wanting a brand shoot where we showcase what do you or make, consider the items needed to tell your story. This can all be discussed during your consultation.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEADSHOTS AND PERSONAL BRANDING?
Headshots are simple business portraits to use on social media and LinkedIn, for example.
Personal branding images go deeper and tell the story of who you are and what you do brilliantly. Whether you're a course creator or you make a physical product, we can create a bank of beautiful, on-brand images that showcase what you do brilliantly! WILL MY IMAGES BE RETOUCHED?
Yes, your images will be lightly retouched so that you're looking your very best. This typically includes brightening eyes and teeth, lightening under eyes and removing temporary blemishes and distractions such as flyaways. If you have any requests or concerns in this area, please let me know.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY IMAGES?
I will aim to get individual headshot images to you within 48hrs. For personal branding galleries, this may take longer. Timescales will be made clear to you at your session.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Headshot and personal branding images are delivered digitally via online transfer. You will receive 2 versions of each image; one in high resolution which is suitable for printing and one in web resolution for using online (1200px along the longest edge). If you have any requirements that are different to these, please let me know and I will see if I can accommodate that for you.
CAN YOU PHOTOGRAPH OUR TEAM?
Yes, absolutely! I have worked with several teams and work hard to ensure that the images are consistent. I can come to your location so that the session makes the best use of everyone's time. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET NEW IMAGES DONE?
For the majority of people, having fresh business portraits every couple of years or so would be about right. However, if your business is all about you and your personality, you may need more regular sessions so you always have high quality, current and varied images to use in your marketing. If you change your look significantly (e.g. new hair colour/style) then it's always worth booking a portrait session to avoid your images looking out of date!
